Principal's Message

Dear FHES Families,

Welcome to the Flint Hill Elementary family! I am thrilled to welcome you and your children to our school community. Whether you are new to FHES or transitioning from another school, we want you to feel at home and know that your child is joining a school filled with care, excellence, and a commitment to student success.

I strongly believe that the foundation of an exceptional school starts with building positive, meaningful relationships. Our staff is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

I’d love to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been in the Fort Mill School District for 27 years—nine as a classroom teacher, six as an assistant principal, and twelve as a principal. Most recently, I spent 16 years at SCES, so I understand both the excitement and challenges that come with change. However, I firmly believe that change fosters growth, and I am excited for this new journey at FHES!

On a personal note, my husband and I have three teenage boys who keep us busy with their passion for soccer. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me traveling for their games or tackling endless piles of laundry!

At FHES, you can expect a school culture built on high expectations, support, and fun. Our teachers are committed to providing high-quality instruction and a nurturing environment, as we know that the most significant impact on student success comes from excellent teaching and a strong home-school partnership.

You will see me in classrooms, hallways, and at school events, getting to know our students and families. One of my personal goals is to learn the names of all 866 students! Building strong relationships between school and home is essential, and I look forward to partnering with you to ensure a positive and successful experience for your child.

Opening a new school is both exciting and historic—we are making history as the 12th elementary school in the Fort Mill School District! I feel honored to embark on this journey with you.
